The Uppsala Antibiotic Days conference has been established with the goal of creating a forum to support scientific exchange amongst local, national and international experts on antimicrobial resistance (AMR). There is consensus that AMR constitutes a multifaceted issue which poses a substantial threat to the health and prosperity of communities worldwide. As experts on this topic, we recognize that any tangible and lasting solution to this so-called “silent pandemic” will require expertise from an equally multidisciplinary faculty.
Uppsala’s unique position as a European hub for research and innovation, in particular AMR, makes the city an excellent venue where scientists, clinicians, and members of the public can gather to share meaningful ideas about the topic. We encourage attendees to submit abstracts for the opportunity to present their scientific discoveries. While the conference’s primary directive leans towards those working directly within the field, we also welcome members of the broad scientific community and general public who wish to participate in the discussion.
